Create a Journal
Go to a Content Area/Folder
Blackboard course come with two default Content Areas: Content and Information, located on the Left Menu

Click Tools tab
Click Journals
Click Link to a Journal
Select Journal
Click Next
Fill in all necessary information
Select Yes by Available
Select any Standard Options wanted
Click Submit
Link to the Journal Page

Hover over the name of the Journal
Click the arrow next to the name
Click Delete
Click OK
Advanced Options Index Entries: This will organize the Journal entries by either month or week. Allow Users to Edit and Delete Entries Allow Users to Delete Comments Grade Journal: Selecting this option allows you to grade the Journal. You can set points possible and add a rubric if you wish.
